The cable stayed bridge is generally used as a footbridge (loadings to Class 12). With its construction of towers and cables, this type of bridge has a contemporary appearance. The free span can be up to 80 metres between towers. The towers are constructed from solid or laminated timber, the cables are of steel. This type of construction permits the use of slender beams. The towers erected on a simple concrete foundation thus insuring a fast installation time. |
